Spring Break Lunch Connection at Central Park
The Spring Break Connection allows kids in the spring break camps at the San Ramon Community Center at Central Park, 1st – 5th grade, to participate in their favorite morning camp and then connect to afternoon camps for a full day of FUN! Enthusiastic staff will meet each child at the conclusion of their morning camp, use an hour for a monitored lunch and then check them into their program afternoon camp. Please send your child to camp with a lunch for the connection.

Word Power

Using a variety of learning and memorization techniques, students will build an extensive vocabulary. Words will be ingrained through writing, testing, drilling and visual aids. Math Whiz

Essay Writing Lab

Learning how to write an effective multiple-paragraph essay is an essential skill for future academic success. In this course, students will learn how to arrange paragraphs to develop an idea, with attention to unity, coherence, sentence fluency, transitional devices, and logical procession. With immediate instructor feedback, students will improve their writing through a multiple revision process and receive necessary grammar, usage, style, and word choice assistance. Critical Reading

Chess Camp

Clay Sculpture Camp

Create a clay world of your own. Five days of hand building, sculpting and coloring a fantasy world with animals and people. Secret Agent Camp
The Mad Science Secret Agent Camp is a fun journey into the world of detection, spy science, and forensics. Campers will examine the science behind the spy tools made famous by the world’s greatest spies! We will reconstruct activities using scientific methods and use the science of cryptology to send and decode secret messages. Kids will get a chance to see what can’t be seen by the naked eye and will follow in Sherlock’s steps to lean what tracks can tell us! Join the Mad Science Bureau of Investigations to help foil a burglary using state-of-the art security techniques!

On the Ball Basketball Camps On the Ball Sports – Basketball Camp is directed by Ohlone College head men’s basketball coach John Peterson and his talented staff. Coach Peterson brings with him a wealth of teaching experience. Coach Peterson and/or his staff will cover offensive & defensive concepts in addition to 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 games. All participants will take part in drills and games each day and will receive a shirt at the conclusion of the camp. On the Ball Volleyball Camps Jamie Cortes, head volleyball coach at Ohlone Callege, will direct this weeklong volleyball camp focused on skills, drills and games. Coach Cortes has vast experience both playing and coaching at the high school, collegiate and national levels. Staff will be comprised of current and former collegiate players with a camper to coach ratio of 8:1. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt. Skyhawks Flag Football Camp Skyhawks Sports Academy is offering flag football camp which will introduce the core skills of passing, catching and de-flagging or defensive positioning – all presented in a fun and invigorating training environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Bowl – a chance for athletes to showcase new and refined skills. These programs are designed for beginner to intermediate level players. Not recommended for advanced athletes. The participant to coach ratio is approximately 15:1. Campers receive a football, T-shirt and merit award. Bring water and snacks.
Skyhawks Mini-Hawk Camp Mini-Hawk programs allow young children to explore soccer, baseball, and basketball in a day-program setting. There is no pressure—just lots of fun while these young athletes participate in all three sports, soccer, basketball and baseball, through unique Skyhawks games. Our Mini-Hawk coaching staff is trained to meet the specific needs of young children and is committed to helping them start off on the right foot as they venture into athletics. The participant to coach ratio is approximately 10:1. Campers receive a mini-ball, T-shirt and merit award. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Stick School Lacrosse Camp The beginner course is for children with little to no experience playing lacrosse. Students will be taught history, rules and basic stick skills through age appropriate recreational style activities designed to instill knowledge and confidence. All equipment is provided for this non-contact class promoting fun, fitness and fundamentals! Participants will be divided based on age and skill level. Each camper will receive a shirt. WSM Soccer Academy Terry Weekes, director of coaching and player development for the San Ramon Soccer Club, and the senior staff of San Ramon Soccer will direct a week long developmental program for recreational and competitive players. This camp will provide a great opportunity for all players to further develop their skills and enjoyment of the game. The camp will be held indoors and each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
Tennis Camps
Youth Beginning/ Intermediate: This camp teaches the fundamentals and is perfect for beginners and intermediate players. The program includes drills, contests, games, scoring, mini matches and tournaments. Bring a new unopened can of Penn or Wilson balls.
Youth Advanced: This intensified tennis training camp is challenging and for more advanced players who will be grouped according to ability for instruction drills and match play. Tournaments, singles and doubles highlight the program. Bring a new unopened can of Penn or Wilson balls.
